Unc Student Discovered Dead At South African National Park

A tragic incident occurred over the weekend involving a University of North Carolina student, Brook Cheuvront, who was found dead after hiking in South Africa. The 20-year-old was reported missing while exploring Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town on Saturday. Friends became concerned when a tracking app she was using stopped updating, and their attempts to reach her were unsuccessful.

South African National Parks (SANParks) confirmed that a search was initiated after Cheuvront’s disappearance was reported. While the investigation is ongoing, officials have stated that the cause of her death remains unclear at this time.
