A major drug bust in Chester County, South Carolina, has led to the seizure of enough illegal substances to potentially kill over 800,000 people. The bust, the largest in the history of the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, took place on January 31 and resulted in the arrest of two individuals, Travaris and Lamonica Dixon.
Authorities discovered 3.7 pounds of fentanyl, 87 grams of crack cocaine, and about two pounds of marijuana at the couple’s residence. Along with the drugs, deputies also seized 17 firearms, two vehicles, and more than $91,000 in cash.

“These drugs had the potential to kill more than 800,000 people,” said Sheriff Max Dorsey. “They’re a deadly threat to communities across the nation, including right here in Chester County. Our office will continue to do everything in our power to remove these dangerous traffickers and dealers from our streets.”
The Dixons now face multiple charges, including:
- Trafficking fentanyl (28 grams or more)
- Trafficking crack cocaine (28–100 grams)
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Possession of a firearm during a violent crime
