Some of the Biggest movies in maybe history will be released in 2018. From Black people entering the Marvel Universe to a look inside the beginnings of one of Space’s most beloved heroes, here’s what movies you can expect to spend your money on this year.

January

“Proud Mary” Starring Taraji P. Henson & Danny Glover

Taraji P. Henson plays a Boston-based hit-woman (which is nothing new to her if you saw the 2006 film “Smokin Aces) who’s professional live takes a turn after coming across a young boy. Danny Glover also stars in this action flick which should kick off the year in a good way for Henson.

Catch it in theaters January 12th.

Den Of Thieves Starring 50 Cent, Gerald Butler & Oshea Jackson, Jr

50 Cent returns to the big screen as a member of a bank robbery crew who looks to accomplish the biggest heist in history. Gerald Butler plays a member of an elite group of LA County Sheriffs who will attempt to stop them. Plot twist: Their lives are connected in some way.

Get ready for this thrill ride January 19th.

Mom & Dad Starring Nicholas Cage

The Latest Music, Celebrities and Interviews:

Have you ever wanted to kill your kids? Ok, I know that sounds bad but in this flick starring Nicholas Cage, these parents try to do just that for 24 hours. Please don’t get any ideas.

This film hits theaters January 19th.

February

God Particle (Cloverfield 3) Starring David Oyelowo & Gugu Mbatha-Raw

The highly secretive film is the third installment of the alien “Cloverfield” series. This time the story takes place above Earth as a crew including David Oyelowo & Gugu Mbatha-Raw comes across some things that they wish they hadn’t.

The film is reportedly set to be released February 2nd.

Fifty Shades Freed Starring Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Rita Ora

The Freaky tales flick hits its “climax” (also known as the final film in the hit book franchise) first quarter. Now that the two are married, whats left in the life of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

The final tale hits theaters February 2nd

Black Panther Starring Black Hollywood

Ok, we know the other big Marvel movie comes out in May but let’s be serious: This is the movie we are waiting for. Chadwick Bozeman leads a who’s who of Black Hollywood including Michael B. Jordan, Angela Bassett and Oscar winner Forest Whitaker into a big fight to save the world in the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

A Wrinkle In Time Starring Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and  Mindy Kaling

From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.

Pacific Rim 2: Uprising Starring John Boyega

Idris Elba saved the world from Monsters and 10 years later (in movie time) his son (played by John Boyega will have to do the same in his action film. Check it out March 23rd.

The New Mutants

Fox may have been sold to Disney but they still have a couple of Marvel films to release themselves before they are swallowed into the Universe. In “New Mutants,” we get a glimpse into a new class of enhanced humans in what looks like A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 meets X-Men.

Check this film out on Friday, April 13th.

Rampage Starring “Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

You might not remember the 80’s arcade game but you at least get an idea once you see this new blockbuster action film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson saving the world with the help of a big ass gorilla.

Avengers: Infinity War Starring The Marvel Universe

How many superheroes do it take to save the Galaxy? Iron Man, Captain America and more lead the fight against super-villain Thanos in a quest to save the universe in this epic event. Expect a lot of surprises as well.

We finally get the backstory on Star Wars most beloved characters. Han Solo’s epic will be told and we will get the backstory on the galaxy’s greatest smuggler.

June

Deadpool 2 Starring Ryan Reynolds

Everyones favorite foul mouth anti-hero is back! Deadpool returns with fellow mutant Cable and more in the rated R superhero flick.

Catch Deadpool in theaters June 1st.

Oceans Eight Starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter.

The women get their chance to steal in the heist film “Oceans Eight.” Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett lead a group of ladies looking to steal a hefty amount of cash and prizes.

Incredibles 2 Starring Samuel L. Jackson

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom Starring Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard

What happens when a volcano is about to destroy whats left of the Jurassic World amusement park and the dinosaurs along with it? Pratt and Howard goes to try to save what they can in the sequel to the new Jurassic Franchise.

Uncle Drew Starring Kyrie Irving, Shaquille O’Neal and Some More Old NBA Players

The hit Nike commercial becomes a feature film! Irving stars as the dribbling old school basketball player Uncle Drew. I’m not sure what to expect but you can see it at the movies June 29th.
